Sources for Our Stereotypes (2010)
Paper, binders thread. (6" x 9" pages, 6" x 18" open)
I am interested in the number of different ways one in our society views a woman. Often, this view is pre-determined and offers little, if any, credibility to the woman-individual of focus. This book conveys some of these views and acknowledges several stereotypes women are confronted with daily, both positive and negative. By depicting these conceptions of women outright in this book, I hope to draw your attention to the different ways we (even us women) perceive other women without a second thought, then perhaps encourage that second thought in the future.
