Anomie

Collaborative Mural with John Worley
The Foundry District, 200 Carroll, Fort Worth, TX
This is a collaborative mural that I completed with artist John Worley. It's 22 feet tall and 26 feet wide, on an exterior wall in the Foundry District. Our mural blends contemporary figure drawing with digitally manipulated and corrupted styling with a lean toward the past. The arquebusier, a paragon of the advancement of warfare during the 15thcentury represents the lengths that humankind will go in the name of conquest. Together with Monica’s thoughtful contemporary female forms, the mural takes on the meaning of considering one’s past as well as the past of the whole of human civilization.
